ABOUT THIS BOOK BLOG
Dear Moms and Dads,
The Navigating the Shock of Parenthood is a little book I wrote. Because that first year of parenthood… well maybe the first two years…okay, okay… maybe the first three years…well, they really are kind of a shock! I don’t know about you guys, but I was pretty clueless about the whole thing. Scared and reeling from day one, I was.
But, my kids are older now and I think I’ve got a decent grip on this parenting thing. (Ha, ha! That feeling is NOT going to last but ya gotta grab it when you can!) So anyway, I’m gonna feed you this book in nice little digestible bites. Cause, I'm a good little mommy bird.
Hopefully, you will find food for thought, nourishment for your spirit and soul, and perhaps even a spark of revolution… Oh hell! Hopefully you feel the fire of revolution! By the time you’re done reading this book, you just might find a passion for what we can do to make the world a better place for our kids.
But first… we have to figure out how to raise the wild little beasties. How to take care of all those basic bodily needs. How to survive the radical change to our own lives. How to feed and water them-there-critters without drowning ourselves. How to build a life that works for the grown-ups as well as the kiddos.

THEY GROW REALLY FAST!
Don’t worry. It will be okay. I’ve got your back. I’ve talked with hundreds of mothers and fathers and picked their brains for parenting-life advice. I’ve also read a couple hundred million gazillion parenting books and somehow managed to raise two tiny twins to nine years of age. They seem to be doing...well kinda, sorta, okay.
So, stick with me. We are going to figure this out and build ourselves and our children a worthwhile life!
Remember: No Parent is an Island!

P.S. There are a few sections from my book that I want to make available to parents right away. Environmental toxins, Infertility, and Postpartum Mood Disorders are each addressed for you in separate sections above. Take a look. You may find them helpful.
